President Piñera to meet with world leaders during Chile’s first G-20 Summit.

Chilean President Sebastián Piñera signed an agreement to incorporate Chile in the launch of the “G-20 Financial Inclusion Peer Learning Program” at the B-20 Business Summit in Mexico on Sunday. The B-20 precedes the larger G-20 summit later this week, which Chile will attend for the first time in history.

president_pinera_g20 The program aims to increase the use and access of financial services for people of all economic sectors.

“In our country we have noticed how financial inclusion generates a new attitude in people, who become much more conscious of both their rights and responsibilities,” Piñera said. “They are much more responsible in their situation and their personal financial administrations, as well as being much more attentive, alert and demanding with the government.”
