Police arrest seven completely nude cyclists

With their breasts and bottoms showing, Santiago’s bicycling community bared it all on Saturday for Chile’s first ever World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR).

Last weekend over 10,000 people attended a cycling event hosted by Chile’s National Sports Institute (IND).  The event was the first of 100 bike rides to take place this year in an effort to promote a healthy lifestyle in Chile.

At the sound of a single whistle, more than 4,000 people will mount their bicycles for the commencement of the first, large-scaled urban bike-a-thon of the year in Santiago, Chile. The event is set for May 15 at 11:00 a.m.

Competition returns after four year absence

Marco Arriagada won his third Vuelta de Chile title on Sunday, concluding a 10-stage race that ended on the streets of Santiago.

The Tour of Chile is returning after a five-year break, which was due to financial problems with the Cycling Federation of Chile and a lack of sponsors. It is now expected to take place between Jan. 28 and Feb. 6 of 2011.

The approximately 600-mile race will go through most of Chile in nine stages, exploring different geographical terrains and landscapes.
