Adventurers follow UFO trail in Chile’s south

A UFO trail has made San Clemente (Region VII) one of the most visited tourist destinations in Chile’s Region of Maule. Introduced in 2008, the 30 kilometre stretch is Chile’s first UFO trail, offering tourists the chance to visit supposed landing sites for flying saucers and extraterrestrial crafts.

The site has one of the highest levels of reported UFO sightings in the world. Popular for camping, trekking, fishing, horseback riding and other sports, it attracts 10,000 visitors each year.
