In the wake of the nation’s sixth femicide case this year, Chile’s National Service for Women (SERNAM) is calling for stiffer measures to combat the escalating femicide phenomena.
The sixth case occurred last week with the brutal murder of Arias Gonzalez, 22, apparently killed by her spouse after receiving 35 punches to different parts of her body.
