Yellow alert issued as quake frequency increases

The Llaima volcano, one of the most active in Chile, had three major eruptions last century and looks to be ramping up to another.

An over-flight last week revealed an absence of fumaroles, indicating a blocked crater, and a recent distinct pattern of earthquakes suggests energy buildup from trapped gases.
