Artisans from around the world are an annual fixture at Santiago’s Parque Bicentenario.
This weekend marks the final days of the 38th Annual International Showcase of Traditional Crafts in Chile’s capital. For the past two weeks, over 130 artisan workers have set up camp in the Parque Bicentenario in Santiago’s upscale borough of Vitacura.

Nina is an undergrad at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts where she studies International Relations. Her regional focus in Latin America led her to chose the Tufts-in-Chile study abroad program. She currently splits her time between the Santiago Times and classes at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. If all goes well she hopes to extend her stay for a full year, but not before heading home for a little dose of Rochester, New York winter between semesters!
