President Obama’s announcement on Wednesday made him the first acting president to support gay marriage and already his words have evoked reactions from a global audience.
The announcement came the same day as passage of Chile’s gay-inclusive antidiscrimination law, which was prompted by the horrific murder of gay youth Daniel Zamudio earlier this year.
