The U.S. president’s announcement comes same day as gay rights laws in Chile.President Obama’s announcement on Wednesday made him the first acting president to support gay marriage and already his words have evoked reactions from a global audience.
The announcement came the same day as passage of Chile’s gay-inclusive antidiscrimination law, which was prompted by the horrific murder of gay youth Daniel Zamudio earlier this year.
