Nathan Frandino is an alumnus of the City University of New York Graduate School of Journalism, where he studied international reporting. Prior to that, he graduated in 2010 from the College of Charleston, where he majored in communications and minored in Spanish. He has reported on issues largely focused on the Latino community, covering stories such as the shrinking support among Cuban Americans for the U.S. embargo against Cuba, the alarming high school dropout rates for Latinos in the U.S., the first anniversary of Chile's San José mine collapse, and more. He has been published in the award-winning NYCity News Service, the World Policy Journal blog, Voices of New York, New York Daily News, and The Post and Courier.
