Angol prisoners say fellow strikers lacked “inner strength and clarity” to continue

Ten Mapuche political prisoners are continuing their hunger strike, after they rejected as insufficient the government’s offer to withdraw terrorism charges against them and reform the country’s anti-terrorism law.
The government’s offer, announced Friday, did persuade 24 other Mapuche prisoners to end their hunger strike. Up to that point, the strike had lasted 82 days.
